Flying eagle

We’ve always taken the Pushies Galore posters seriously. We try to choose something significant, a bike that has a special connection. In 2011 it was a Colnago road bike with Columbus SLX Spiral Conic tubing. In 2012 it was a Llewellyn track bike made in Everton Hills. In 2013 it was a Super LA BMX made in Woodridge.

This year we’re proud to announce that the poster bike is a Bon-Ton gentlemen’s bike made in Ipswich. The bike was made by Harold Corney in the 1960s. The paintwork on this bike is exquisite, it has a coaster brake (making it so hot right now), it has a lovely dynamo and it has an eagle out front.

There isn’t a lot of information out there about Bon-Ton bicycles. I have found this newspaper article and an interesting oral history transcript referencing Mr Corney. Hopefully this will open the floodgates of information.
